In 1983, Lorenzo Matteo joined the Austrian Aluminium Company (AMAG).
In 1994, he took on the role of Head of Research and Development at GRUUS Architettura Italia S.r.l.
In 1998, he began developing various series of minimal sliding doors, folding doors, and vasistas window systems.
In 2005, thanks to the research and development efforts of his team, GRUUS Italia started designing advanced systems for high-performance aluminum doors and windows, including motorized opening mechanisms.
In 2006, GRUUS Italia experienced rapid growth in the domestic market and, at the same time, began expanding into international markets, particularly in the Middle East.
In 2009, the company entered the Chinese market, initially with sliding and folding door systems, and gradually extended the application of its products locally.
